Selected from an archive of almost 3000 photos, taken between 1990 and 2000, the black and white images in this book are the work of one photographer, Royston E. Naylor, better known as ‘Stone’. Thought-provoking and humorous, they focus on the diversity of people who are drawn to this unique event and provide a rare insight into the weird and wacky happenings that characterise Glastonbury. Combined with the psycho-poetic insights of Radio 4 wizards of wit, Matt Harvey and Rory Motion, the resulting mix of poems and pics could send your imagination spiralling on temporal tangents.

Royston Naylor is an award-winning photographer who has built up a vast library of photos taken at Glastonbury between 1990 and the present day. He undertakes a wide variety of commissions and projects across the UK and overseas. www.stonefree.org

Matt Harvey is a regular contributor on Radio 4 and was appointed Championships Poet at Wimbledon 2010. Matt performs up and down the country at festivals, cabarets, conferences and colleges. www.mattharvey.co.uk

Rory Motion is a poet, singer/songwriter, comedian and artist. He has performed at Glastonbury on numerous occasions and has been a regular on Radio 4 and 5. www.rorymotion.com
